Well hello everyone,

How is the world? Well I’m sorry to say that BYU lost to Florida. But let’s be honest, Florida rocks–when it isn’t 100 degrees. Oh wait, it’s always hotter than heck here. Just kidding. Utah lost also so BYU is still ranked above them. So good job Carl.

This week was a pretty good week. We taught millions of lessons. We are getting close to the members so they will give us referrals and we don’t have to go tracting. jk. We still have to go but we don’t have to do it as much, so it makes it nice.

The story for the week is Saturday morning we get this call from one of the "retired" elders (that means they are old) saying that there was someone at the hospital and they were in the baby department (labor and delivery) and that they wanted a blessing. So Elder Reimschussel and I got a ride to the hospital. As we are making our way to the delivery rooms, there was a lady in the elevator with us. Before we get off, she says, "Do you know Brother Jondihusdui." Sorry I have no idea what name she said. And we said no. She goes aren’t you in the Fort Myers Ward. We are like, "No that ward was shut down. It’s just Haitian and Spanish wards." So she says, "Oh cool" and walks away. WEIRD. Anywho. We get to the security door, ring the bell, and ask if we can come in to see Andrea Johnson. They let us in and we go to her room and knock on the door. The lady freaks out a little bit and we say, "Hi are you Andrea." "Yeah" "Well we are the missionaries and someone called us and said you would like a blessing." She says, "No" and tells us to leave, so we did. Awkward and weird let me tell you.

Well that’s the good stuff for the week. Hope everyone has a great and fantastic week. And remember...the church is true, the sky is blue, and God loves you–and so do I.

Have fun y'all.

P.S. It’s my birthday next week Yay!!! I’m going to go by JT to see how that goes. When I become famous it will sound cooler than Jeff, so yeah!!

September 14 Update

Hello all!

How is Utah? It’s doing very well in Florida. From what people tell us there are hurricanes brewing and we might get one sometime. I’m excited. I’ve always wanted to be in a hurricane. Plus it’s great for missionary work. An even bigger plus is that I don’t have to wear a shirt and a tie!!! Woot, woot!

Anyway Elder Reimschussel and I are doing well. We are teaching out investigators and they are slowing progressing. But, they are progressing. We also go to see lots of members. They are the ones that give us referrals. So it’s good to gain their trust so that we can get referrals and more baptisms. So, that’s been going well.

This week we have about 20 lessons schedules. Now for those of you that don’t know, that’s good. We usually get 8 or fewer lessons a week. The mission as a whole averages 9 lessons a week. So 20 is awesome and we are excited to teach more.

Well, I hope you all are having fun and working hard. And when it’s getting to be 20 degrees and you are freezing, just remember that good old Jeff is in a sunny place, getting tan, and it 70 degrees. Haha. It’s okay. Maybe someday you can rub it in my face...probably not!! Haha.

Just remember, the church is true, the sky is blue and God loves you. So do I. Have a great week everyone.

September 8 2009

Well hello everybody.

How was everyone’s uh holiday? I don’t really know what holiday it was but everything here was pretty much closed. It was a bummer considering that it was preparation day.

Everything is going good. It turns out that I am probably going to be staying with Kirk a.k.a. Elder Reimschussel the remainder of this transfer and am very excited to. He is a funny son of God. He has been teaching me some very good things to help make the work more fun but we are still working hard. Like the old people say "working hard or hardly working." Ha ha ha I crack myself up. We are doing some good things. Another investigator came to church on Sunday. So this week is the moment of truth--WILL HE GET BAPTIZED? I think he will but only God knows.

Well it’s been great out here the past almost three months and I am excited to be here for lots more :). Remember! The church is true, the sky is blue and God loves you!!!

August 31

Hello everyone.

I’m sorry to say that not much has happened this week, but we did get some new promising investigators–Abram Hepp and Allen. Abram is 16 and he is a lost kid. We are trying to help him gain a testimony so that he will get baptized. Allen is taking the lessons because his girlfriend wanted him to. He seems interested so hopefully that goes well.

Elder Reimschussel is getting his greenie this week but we don’t know what day yet. I will be going to Port Charlotte when he comes so fun stuff.

Well I love you all.
