Update August 24

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Tonight’s entertainment is...

Me sorry. I’m not as cool as Heath Ledger but he’s dead and I’m not so what now.

Well this week was a bit of a slow one. After moving down south and getting reunited with a familiar face, we went out to work. We did some long hours of tracting–most terrible thing ever, but it has to be done–and a few lessons.

Elder Reimschussel and I scheduled a great week this week. Hopefull we have about 10 lessons planned, and by the end of the week 2, count it 2, baptismal dates. It’s bee really fun so far working with Kirk, aka Elder Reimschussel. Kirk is just easier to write. And I am excited to continue the work. Have fun at school all you scally wags.

Remember, the church is true; the sky is blue; and God loves you. Goodnight everyone. I will be here next week.

Update August 17 2009

Well howdie everybody,

HAPPY 2 MONTHS. It’s been a great two months. I gave my first blessing to a guy named Bryan. He is one of our investigators. I’m going to try to get a picture with him so you can see him.

Well as some if not all of you know, I am getting transferred to Bonita Springs and I will be companions with Chad's brother. It will be exciting. I don’t think he knows me so I can play some mind trick games on him. It will be fun. Well I will stay with him for three weeks and then go to Port Charlotte for the other three weeks. I am moving around a lot. But these are very wealthy areas and I love to humble the rich people. Sometimes you can even milk them. Haha just kidding. But seriously it will be awesome and I am very excited.

It’s kinda weird though. It was kinda hard saying bye to some of those people. I guess when your stuck in the middle of nowhere alone, you connect with people. Anyway I will probably go back there some time so no big.

I heard from a source that there is snow on the mountains. Haha there are no mountains here. The highest elevation in Florida is Space Mountain. So no snow for us.

Well I hope all is well back in the West. I love you all and hope you are happy with your decisions in live. Remember the church is true, the sky is blue, and God loves you.

August 10 2009 update

Hello my fellow Americans,

It’s getting close to school. I hope everyone is excited to learn. I am learning...learning that people who are Catholic are really nice when they reject you and others are not so nice. Haha. Oh well, it’s their salvation not mine.

This was a good week. We got one guy to set a baptism date. And there was a guy who went on the youth trek to help out and now he wants to "find out the truth for himself." So that is way awesome. And, I am loving the heat.

Our ward boundaries got changed and our area is now about 45 miles long, so we are getting some good biking in.

Well I hope the world is going good in the West. I love you all.

August 3 2009 Update

Hi everyone!

This week was not very productive in a sense. We knocked millions of doors and no one was interested. That’s okay though.

Funny story. We talked with a few kids (ages 16-17) and it was funny because they were all high. They were not good kids but we talked with them for a while and answered questions they had and then we continued on our way. As we walked down the street, we hear these black people yelling. We had no idea why they were yelling but we decided to go over and tell them that we had a special message about Jesus Christ and forgiveness. We talked with them for just a couple of minutes, and as we were talking I noticed that there was one guy rolling a [joint] and just doing it right on his car . So we left laughing. Then they started yelling again. But it was funny...black people are afraid of us. We are white guys with a church about Christ and they are a little superstitious. Well we also went to another church this week and they said that Satan was a woman, kind of funny.

It’s great here. Having a good time I am. Hope state swimming went well for all those who participated. I love you all.
