November 23 2009

Hello everyone. I just wanted to start out by saying that I hope you all have seen the New Moon movie. Everyone at church talked about it yesterday and it sounds like it is really good. And for all those girls, I have heard that Jacob is a hunk of man meat. hahaha.

Well let’s see the update. We have dropped a few investigators this week; but the ones we have are very strong. Two little girls want to get baptized and they have only heard the first lesson, so we have to wait until they finish. But they are really excited. Another guy is not as wanting to be baptized, but he is really smart and a devout Catholic so we will work with him. But he likes the Joseph Smith story, which is rare. So we take advantage of that. hehe.

Oh I forgot to mention that Thanksgiving is this week and I am pretty stoked. I am very grateful for the chance I have to be out here in the hotlands. It has been an awesome experience thus far, and I am ready for the future. It’s an amazing thing that future. Well have a good turkey bowl men. We get to do it too. I thought it was just a Utah thing but, hey, it’s at least nationwide, which is pretty cool.

Well gotta go. The Lord needs his servants. So I’ll catch ya'll later. Have a great Thanksgiving and know that I love you all!!!!

Hello everyone. How is the motherland? It’s great down here in here in paradise. Yes, it is paradise now cause the temperature is down and so is the humidity. It’s great.

The work this past week has been booming. That baptism that moved called us last night and she was baptized in Georgia. It doesn’t count as one for us but we are glad that she was baptized. What else? Oh my talk and singing went very well. I think I’m going to sing instead of talk when I get home because I was less nervous when I sang. Weird I know. And we now have 15 investigators. Hopefully they will be baptized. It would be cool to have 15 baptisms. President Colton thinks we are paying people to get baptized. Not really, but he is very pleased with our progress in Bonita Springs. We are in the top three for areas and producing investigators. So we are very happy about that.

Well I have to go do the work of the Lord. We are mucho busy this week.but I wanted to say thank you to everyone that has helped me. It has meant a lot to me these past 4 months. I love this gospel. I love the opportunity to be out here and I love the Lord. And I love all of you. Have a God-blessed week.

November 08 2009

Good morning everyone! How is the world? In Florida, it’s great! The heat is leaving and there is a hurricane out on the coast so it’s windy and really cool. I love it. This is why people come to Florida.

Well let’s see, this week my companion and I got assigned to give talks in sacrament meeting for next week. And I get the lovely opportunity to sing a song. It’s going to be an Elder Nielson sacrament meeting. It’s all good though. I’m excited to be apart of the ward. Let’s see, what else. Oh yesterday we found a part member family that wants to get baptized, which is awesome. The ward is growing and it’s my pleasure to be able to be a part of it. Still doing good. The members love us and we are working hard.

Well I have a message for you all in these perilous times. The message is that God is a third watch god. For those of you who have no idea what that even means, I’ll tell you. Heavenly Father does make it easy for us to do things. He waits till the last moment when we are ready to give up on all hope and then he blesses us for being faithful saints that can endure to the end. What I’m trying to say is do what you can to follow the commandments, even when it’s hard to do it and it feels like you’re all alone. I can testify that God is watching and he is waiting for the right time to bless you in your time of need.

I love you all and hope that the life out west is good.

Hello everyone!

Congratulations to the University of Utah for their win. It’s okay BYU fans, you might beat the U…but probably not…:). Hehe.

Let’s see what happened this week. Oh. Halloween was good. We got absolutely no one that knocked at our door. We also had to be in by 7:00 because of all the crazy people that come out and beat up missionaries. So, we were home early. What else. Um. We did reconstruction on the area this week. We dropped all of our investigators and got 7 more new ones. Hopefully they won’t bail on us. Let’s hope!

Well I got an assignment to speak in church in two weeks. It’s the bring your friend to church Sunday, so hopefully lots of people will be there. But I hope not. I hate speaking in church. I get really nervous as most of you know.

Well kids, I hope all is well in Zion. The work in Bonita Springs (where I am) is doing great and progressing. Thanks for all your prayers. Remember the gospel is true, the sky is blue, and God loves you. I do too and don’t you forget that:) Have a great week.
